Run SC not as an interactive user?

Post by franc »

Hello,
is it by design, that SingleClick cannot be started as a task and need to be started by an interactive user to connect to it?
Or am i doing something wrong: i started SingleClick with a MS-Task at a special time and tried then to connect to this machine by another machine.
But this didn't work.
Thank you,

Correct Single Click is not to be ran as a service....

If you want that type of connection use the UVNC 1.02 it is designed to be ran as a service..

it possible to make automatic connection to your vncviewer

you should have only one [HOST]

as I see you are programmer,
is better to use pchelpware_viewer and you create your own pchelpware_server with create.bat

for developer

Thank you for the hints,
yes SC can connect automatically, but only if started by a user, not by the System (Task). Is this different with PcHelpWare?

sometimes i wish to connect the pc (server) of some customers after the visit there and then the customer needs to click the SC or fill in the 'Add New Client' in the server that i can connect. But what if he is not there (especially at night time, when its my most active time :-) ) ?
so i am looking for a manipulation of vncserver, so it connects for example every 5 minutes to a repeater or something like that. By a task or maybe by vnc itself.
So i guess for security reasons, this feature is not provided in vnc (and i have it to change myself, one day...), is it?

Thank you, redge,
that was exactly what i am looking for!

But one last question: is it possible to start first the server and then after the viewer (in listen mode)?

It would be better to have the vnc viewer listening before activating SC server..:)

and i noticed, after long tests in vain, that the good old repeater "uvnc.com" is not so good working as an own installed repeater :-)
So only with that own repeater i got a connection initiated by the server on the commandline:
winvnc.exe -autoreconnect ID:123321 -connect My_repeater.dom::5500

and after, with the viewer:
vncviewer.exe -proxy My_repeater.dom::5901 ID:123321
and then it worked.

With ID mode, vncviewer never listen, is make an outgoing connection,
so you able to start server to connect to repeater, then you able to run vncviewer connect to repeater.
