Ultra VNC SC using plugin

Post by Rudy »

:| Can anyone help with the following problem please?

I can make a connection with no plugin but I can't make a connection with plugin exactly MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm

I checked all of the manuals and I think did everything correct.

1. I installed only viewer on my PC and copied the
MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm which I downloaded to the UltraVNC
folder.
2. I ran the viewer in listening mode and ticked use and chose
MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm and clicked config and generated new key
and closed the viewer with X
3. I renamed key to rc4.key
4. In the downloaded custom.zip I copied MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm file
and renamed rc4.key file as well I changed background and logo with
my one
5. I renamed MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm in the zip folder to MSRC4Plugin
.dsm
6. I opened the helpdesk.txt file and in the Internet support encryption
wrote -plugin MSRC4Plugin.dsm -connect xx.x.xx.xxx:5500 -noregistry
the same IP I have got in Internet support column above.
7. I saved the .txt file and went to http://sc.uvnc.com/
index.php?section=19
8. In the UltraVncSC based on REL1.00 (TEST) I uploaded the zip file
of course I used foo and foobar.
9. I saved the custom.exe file and sent it to my college
10. When he tried to run Internet support encryption he got a window
WinVNC Usage
-plugin msrc4plugin.dsm -connect xx.x.xx.xxx:5500 -noregistry

Can someone tell me where could be the problem? If he clicked on the
Internet support we have got a connection and everything works perfect.

I will really appreciate if someone will help me. Thank you guys.

Yes I did rename the plugin in my UltraVNC folder as well but I am still having the same window.

I really can't figure it out what is the problem.

yes I did read almost all the manuals I have found but a can't find what is the problem.
Because I can make a connection without encryption so my IP and other stuff are correct so obviously there is a problem with that plugin. I think it doesn't work or I don't know.
What is that stupid window with the same address like is in the helpdesk.txt file?

WinVNC Usage
-plugin msrc4plugin.dsm -connect xx.x.xx.spam:5500 -noregistry
The window usage message can happen when you have the standard winvnc runnning and launch sc.exe.

Winvnc does not allow multiple instances and pass the parameters from sc.exe to your runnning winvnc.exe. Parameters differ between winvnc and sc.

Ok so that means that my friend is already running some UltraVNC on his computer?
I installed only viewer on my PC and did everything as in manuals. Then I sent the exe file to my friend. I ran viewer in a listening mode a he clicked on exe file and chose internet support encryption. And after that message.
Please I am new in it so can you explain me more with more detail?

Thank you very much indeed.

I'm having the exact same issue, and I believe I've been as thorough.

Is something wrong with my syntax?
