Hi folks,
Is there a way to add an item to SC where a dialog box
will open to enter an IP address to connect to?
The reason is that I am not always in the same location
and may be at a different site to the statics used. So I would
like the user to enter an IP address at my request!
I have not been able to locate any info on this so it might
even be an add for the ToDo list!!!!
thanks
Tony

Re: User Input for IP address?
Hi Redge,
Saw and read that but it is not what I was wanting.
It does not integrate into the SC application. It is
external and is not called from SC...
The requirement was to be called from the sc list
ie
Ultra VNC-SC List
Location 1 Remote Support from Office 1
Location 2 Remote Support from Office 2
Location 3 Not in either ofice
Location 3 would ask the user for input of my remote ip address
and connect. I did not want to have the other package downloaded.
thanks

Re: User Input for IP address?
other alternativ
viewer push update their own IP to your own webserver,
then SC pull the IP information from your server
it free for home and no commercial usage.

Re: User Input for IP address?
Hello Redge,
The ip address to be used is the one I am on not the clients.
I have just put the Remote into use but I am not happy with
doing it this way. Too many programs to download ie 2 one for
each instance of need. Too confuding for clients! Which one
do I need to download?
Prefer to see the Remote incorporated into SC.
thanks
