Hello Friends!
I have some queries regarding the useage of single click.
I would like to setup Sc in such a way, that people can download it from my website, or I can email it to them.
The problem that I am facing, is that most of my clients(The people I want to help out remotely) are connected to the internet via a adsl modem, not a router, and have a lan, where they are sharing the internet conection through a proxy program. Will they be able to use my Sc file to connect to my listening server even theough they are behind a proxy program (Like free proxy or Proxy +) or will they need some additional configuration?
My second query, is that I also have a similar setup, where I have a network of 6 computers, connected to the internet with a adsl broadband modem, and all the computers are sharing the internet through a proxy program again. Now, if I am NOT using a router, how do I forward port 5500 to my machine on their internal ip address?
Is port forwarding possible only on routers, or is it possible to do port forwarding on a proxy also?
I hope I have not confused anyone with this long query.
Any help in this matter will be HIGHLY appreciated.
Best Regards.

Singleclick Basic questions.
Re: Singleclick Basic questions.
Question 1
As long as your users use your SC file they should be able to reach out to your listening VNC. They are making a outbound request.
Question 2
I would suggest buying a router to manage your LAN and using the router to forward the port to your computer.

WoW! Quick reply!
Thanks for the quick reply friend.
I dont mind buying a router, but is it possible to set up port forwarding in my current scenario?
I am also thinking to help other people to setup such a support system, and I dont they they would like to shift to a router, not because of cost, but because of hassles in setting it up.
Most people that I know are using internet on their networks without a router, and I am going to face this proble when I try to help other people setup such a system.
Once again thanks for your quick reply.
Are you sure about people being able to make a connection from behind a proxy? just making sure

Re: Singleclick Basic questions.
You are the only person who would need the router. The clients using SC would only need their current internet connection. No work on their end only yours. Not familiar enough with your proxy setup to determin if it supports port forwarding.
