I have tried everything I can think of to get the web based (port 5800) portion of Ultra VNC working through ISA Server 2004 with no luck. Is there a return port that I'm not opening correctly? I've created a server publishing rule allowing traffic inbound from any external network to access the VNC server on port 5800 and opened the listener but I'm not having any luck. I've been fighting with this for weeks and weeks and I'm pulling my hair out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Working with ISA Server 2004
Re: Working with ISA Server 2004
The return ports seem to be in a range but I can get an answer on how they are assigned or what range they are in. I asked that question about a year ago and never got a responce..
Not too familar with ISA never use it but does it have a section like windows firewall were you can add applications or ports to be allowed??
Does your ISA server have a Static WAN IP in it??
Sounds similar to a port forwarding in a router configuration.. I have an idea
your rule to forward port 5800 to LAN IP 192.168.X.X that pc has to have port 5800 open via all software firewalls. I would also make sure that it gets the same IP address or you when it updates its dhcp configuration your rule may not work..

Re: Working with ISA Server 2004
Yes, I have created the port forwarding rule on port 5800, and yes, both the ISA server and the VNC box have static LAN ports, and yes, the ISA server has a static WAN port. I am able to sucessfully publish a web page behind the ISA server, so I am fairly certain that my rules are correct. I truly believe it's an issue with the port return, since the web browser is not getting the response it's needing, it times out and says there's nothing there.bevtech wrote:The return ports seem to be in a range but I can get an answer on how they are assigned or what range they are in. Re: Working with ISA Server 2004
I have a customer running an isa server and vnc would not work even using reverse connect. I was able to get it running my own echo server and then using the echo enabled uvnc version.
