How to use the id command?

Hi
im new here and i wanna use the SC VNC
i"ve download the custom.zip file and changed the txt file
now i see that you can use -id command and put numbers in it
i tryed that and it didnt work
can some post example how to use it?
like
- connect IP -id 12345
or -id 12345 -connect IP
also what exactly does it do?
the viewer need to put a password or what?

So how safe is it to use the SC?
i mean without the key file?
is it safe? someone can connect to your open port by some way?

I'm not aware of security purpose...

as my knowledge
without ID, is more safe, this is only direct reverse connection

with ID and without plugin , there less safe as above indirect trough repeater.

as soon someone now the ID and IP of repeater, their able to lunch vncviewer and control the computer lunched SC from anywhere on the Internet place if there no security in place.

if you want use ID, you really need to use the dsmplugin for safety remote suport.
