"Query on incoming connection" doesn't work

Hi everyone,

I've just installed UltraVNC and I am happy with it. The only thing that bothers me is that this Query doesn't work... The option is enabled, the Timeout is 10 seconds and the default actions is ACCEPT, but it still doesn't aks the user for acceptance
The VNC version is 1.02 and the remote system is WIndows XP Pro with SP2... All the computers are in a domain!

Any ideas why is that and how can I fix it??

Do you have the server component installed on all PC's? On my PC, If I open the server Admin properties I can check the "display query wondow" and set the time duration and the refuse\accept option.

Yes, I have the Server-component installed on all user machines and I can check these 2 options too, but nothing happens... checked or unchecked - anyway, it doesn't ask the user for permission.
And what I have found is that I can't show the tray icon even if the registry setting "Disable tray Icon" is set to 0!

What the f... is this - I just don't understand

did you enabled "Query on incoming connection" on the good winvnc admin properties ?

There 2 ways for running winvnc:
as service system (winvnc running before prompt windows logon)
as user level (winvnc running as soon user is logged)

Alt+Ctrl+Del and check if your winvnc running as your login name or SYSTEM

I couldn't describe the problem better than Vasil. The same problem is being occured to me. There is no any sign of accept/refuse box for server PC. I did everything to solve it, including registry work but nothing worked. By the way, the previous version of UltaVNC works without any problem, gives the box for approve to make remote control.

How can I approach to problem to solve it ?

Please help, I am stuck with it.
