Hi folks,
I have been using the dsm plugin on quite a few computers for a long time with no problems. Now we aquired four new servers and each one of them has the connection breaking after 1 to 5 minutes when using the dsm-plugin 1.1.8.0. Without it: no problems.
What makes these servers different is, that they are on a different subnet AND they are linked using 10 Mbps instead of 100 like the others. Furthermore, they have dual xeon processors (the others are single P4), but I can't believe that this could be the matter.
Could the slower link or the different subnet be a problem when used together with dsm? Seems like.
OS are 2003 SP1 and Win2k server SP4, VNC version is 1.0.1, video driver version is 1.19.0.0
Thanks for any hint.

Re: Connection breaks after a short time when I use dsm 1.1.
should be issue of vncviewer codec switch failed during connection caused by vncvncviewer quick option = AUTO,
select another quick option like LAN if you are over LAN - LAN (not over Internet) and should solve your issue.

Hi Redge,
thanks, but unfortunately that does not seem to change the behaviour.
Is there any theoretical possibility that the slower link or the different subnet is a problem when used together with dsm?

Re: Connection breaks after a short time when I use dsm 1.1.
connection speeds will cause issues with Uvnc in general. 56K or less is a major issue with dsm. Subnets really should cause too much of an issue as long as they have proper routes in place traffic to pass through properly..

I have totally no idea about this point. Is there any theoretical possibility that the slower link or the different subnet is a problem when used together with dsm?
should be an issue with MSRC4plugin and windows 2000 ,
fix the issue using ARC4plugin based rc4 but key name is arc4.key
http://msrc4plugin.home.comcast.net/arc4plugin.html
or
wait this week-end or next week for upcoming new build of MSRC4plugin more stable for windows 2000 with some fix
