UVNC isn't refreshing the windows correctly

I'm using UVNC server on a Windows 2003 R2 machine

I used 1.0.1 build aug 6 2005 19:44:18
and video driver
vncdrv.dll 1.00.19 with vnccom.SYS/vncdrv.sys 1.00.17

The test button says its active and it certainly seems to use very little CPU time.

But every time I use
UVNC viewer 1.2.9 build feb 13 2006 21:11:43 (on a Win 2000 pro SP4)
All the windows I see on the server get drawn initially until I try to move them.
Then they get corrupted. Moving them left or right, up or down. It gets filled with drawing errors.

I've been trying to cope by using the Viewers refresh button which works until I move a window.

If I deactivate the video driver, then the screen is ok, slow and take a *lot* of CPU power on a 3GHz dual core PC (48%!) but it draws the windows fine.

I am connected to the remote server via a 100MB LAN.

The video device on this server is a XGI Volari Z7 v1.02.04_Dell
Version 6.14.10.120

User settings in UVNC server is
Poll Foreground window
Poll Window under cursor
System HookDll on
Video Hook Driver on

Setting on the viewer are:
Auto select

Can any one help me?
