Java Viewer & MSLOGON

Post by gavc »

I have tried Installing the Ultra VNC service in both domain enviroments, with domain accounts, and workgroup envorments, using local accounts. And I just cannot get the java viewer to authenticate. It works fine using the standard exe viewer, but I have tried both Version 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 and I have also tried building my own cvs version, and none seem to work.
I have tried running it as an applet, and also in a web browser. I have tried it on Mac OSX and PCs, and I have tried with java build 1.5.0_07-b03.
When I try authenticate I get an error "Unknown VNC authentication result" then random digits
I can only see that error in the output when I run it in a java virtual machine, when I use it through a web browser, it just says try again.
I have tried with both mslogon 1 and mslogon 2 enabled

be aware that the ms-logon protocol changed between 1.0.1 and 1.0.2.
This applies to both MS-Logon I and II.

With a new (1.0.2) viewer/Javaviewer you should be able to connect to both 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 server.

I realise that, which is why I have tried both version, and the latest cvs build.
This is not just happening on one machine, but I have also tried this at my work, where it was deployed to over 100 workstations

hmm,

I just tested the test binaries that are available (bis and ter) and for me it's working.
I use a domain account for authentication.
