Multiple Servers & Multiple Viewers

Post by Kenwong »

Firstly, I need to access from home two computers in office, which are behind a router. Everything had been tested fine until, for better security, I installed DSM Encryption Plugin. I generated two differently named key files, each for one of the computers in office. The two key files have been placed in the proper directory on those 3 machines. The problem is, after I sucessfully connected to one of the computers (let's say, S1), I will be unable to connect to computer S2 by clicking the short-cut on my desktop. The issue as far as my understanding is, there is a 'hangover' from my earlier connection to S1, in particular, the information of the key file. The short-cut fails to tell the application to use the key file for S2. My questions: Should I use different key files for different servers? Or should I use the same? If I should use the same key file, will I be able to be connected to the two servers at the same time?

Secondly, I need to connect to one server from two viewers at different locations at the same time. Everything was fine until I started using DSM Encryption Plugin. The same key file is being used on those three machines (1 server and 2 viewers). The problem is, after I successfully connected from one viewer (call it V1), then I connect from V2 but then my connection from V1 will be terminated. In the settings for the server, I chose to key the existing connections after new connection. My questions: Why does the disconnection happen even though I tell the application to keep all the existing connections? What can I do to tell those machines to behave what I want them to (the server being connected from 2 or more viewers at the same time with DSM Encryption Plugin in force)?

Easy answer for fist and second questions:
known limitation,
the actual DSMplugin architecture do not allow multiple simultaneous connection.
UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 (built 20110518)
