Password as being changed

Post by rsilva »

Hello!

I have a strange problem. I Have UktraVNC(RC18) instaled on Widows XP Home and I have put the password I I've logon after that.
One day after I cannot log in again because it's a wrong password.
It seems that someone as changed the password.

Please give me some feed back on this.

Is there an account logged into the computer running the server software? I've been having the same type of problem with RC18. I get an incorrect password error if the server computer is at the Windows login screen. If there is a user logged into the computer, my password works. I already have the server software set to run as a service, but it seems like it is not working.

Each user has it own password
user1 logged -> passwd set by user1
user2 loggen-> passwd set by user2
service->default settings passwd...

This is the same for all vnc versions....and the cause
of a lot of trouble :(

Behaviour broken in test19
Vnc running as service, always use the service password,
independed the logged user.
Properties box, always show the service settings, only admin can change it.
