UVnc SC VIEWER, Encryption and Repeater built with WinRar

Hello!

I think it is useful to get also a UltraVnc SC VIEWER.

I have tested 7-zip without success, that's why i have WinRar used.
http://www.rarlab.com/ download and install WinRar 3.51 release.

Requirement is the installation of the UltraVNCViewer on one Computer.

1. Create a new folder (ie: supportviewer).
2. Copy the files vncviewer.exe and if encryption is a need MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm and rc4.key into the new folder.
3. Mark the files vncviewer.exe, MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm and rc4.key.
4. Right click on the marked vncviewer.exe
- (WinRar) Add to archive...
- General tab
- enable ZIP
- Compression method take Best
- enable Create SFX archive
- Archive name type
supportviewer.exe

click Advanced tab
- click SFX options...

General tab
- Path to extract type
%temp%\RarSFX0
- (last char is a zero- char)
- enable Absolute path
- Run after extraction type and change

"%temp%\RarSFX0\vncviewer.exe" -connect ID:1234 -restricted -nohotkeys -notoolbar -shared -dsmplugin MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm -proxy Repeater:5901

ID:1234 replace with the id you want
-proxy Repeater:5901 replace with your repeater address and port.

Click Modes tab
- ENABLE Unpack to temporary folder (important)
- enable Hide all
- enable Overwrite all files

Click Text and icon tab
download http://sc.uvnc.com/custom.zip and extract the icon2.ico file into the supportviewer folder.
- Load SFX icon from the file - browse to
supportviewer\icon2.ico

Click General tab
- click Save current settings as default
Click OK

And click OK within the Archive name and parameters window.

The new executable will be created into the new folder (ie: supportviewer.exe ~ 421 KB).

More Compression and a security hint

If we use the archive format RAR, then the compression ratio is greater.

is it possible to create a SC vncviewer which asks for the ID #?

Can someone please let me know if anyone has developped a VncViewer which is preconfigured with everything except for the ID. A VncViewer which will only ask for the ID upon execution.

Well Pchelpware will make it so all they have to do is click connect after they download the file. If you have not look into that possiblity it can be found at www.pchelpware.com and it supported in the forum pchelpware rel 1.0

That may not be an option for you but I thought I would mention it

Thank you for your reply. But I really need a preconfigured VncViewer that will only prompt my technicians to enter the ID. I want it to be preconfigured with the Repeater IP address and port. I only want it to prompt for ID. I know this is possible since the software is Open Source. I just wanted to know if anyone else has already created this extension of the VncViewer.

Hello I was just wondering if there is any way to pre-configure a vncviewer. I would like to preconfigure the viewer with the repeater IP address and port. Then when my techs execute it I just want it to ask for the ID. Has someone already done this? Can someone please tell me how to do this?

if you want enter the ID use this command:

vncviewer.exe -restricted -nohotkeys -notoolbar -shared -dsmplugin MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm -proxy Repeater:Port

Replace Repeater:Port with the IP or domainname and port number
for instance

XXXX.dyndns.org:5901

(SSL:

vncviewer_ssl.exe -restricted -nohotkeys -notoolbar -shared -proxy XXXX.dyndns.org

)

The connect window appears.

Type

ID:123456

within the VNC Server field.
