Using ports 80/443

I want to use these ports to get past the hyperactive firewall at work, but at home the UltraVNC server refuses to use these ports!

When I select them, hovering over the server icon gives a 'not listening' response, if I check the settings again, 'Accept incoming connections' is unticked...

This ONLY happens with ports 80+443 - what is going on?

PS. If there are any easy firewall traversal options that would allow me past all this, let me know - I like the look of Mamachi but don't want to have to install it on every machine I connect from! Also the UltraVNC NAT2NAT seems to need someone at home to enter a usr/pass every time it reboots, right?...

Are you using skype or any other application that uses both port 80/443?? I am guessing that you have an application that is using those ports and that is why you do not have access to them.. You might have more like with port 443 then port 80..

Nope, I've tried clearing out the whole notification tray, unless there's something hidden taking up those ports that's not the problem...

Do you have IIS running or installed??

That was it! I've disabled the http module and all is now well... thanks Bevtech!

Now I'm sure there was some essential program that I had to enable IIS for, just can't remember what it was! Any ideas?
