Dosen't seem to want to work

Post by mhouser »

I am using ultraVNC 1.0.1 and 1.0. My problem is sometimes when I connect to a machine I get to where I can enter may password (that works fine) but then everything disappears. The machines don't have a screen saver password or anything like that and they are running 98SE Is there a way to fix this? Also, on some of the 98SE machines. I am able to connect to the machine until the user restarts their machine then I get a failed to connect to server. On one of my windows 2K machines I put in the user name and password everything works until I login to windows then VNC quits. I go over to the users machine and it says that the default password is not set ..bla..bla bla.. But it is. For everyone of these situations I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ultravnc that does not help. I'm not sure what more I can do. Please help.

Thanks

Some users/programmers know there winvnc admin properties is not user friendly like tightvnc especially for global system/user

so, believe me, the password is really not saved to your winvnc
but you or their not open the correct winvnc admin properties

Thanks for the reply but that doesn't help. What I would like to know is why sometimes it works and other times (When I do the exact same install process) it does not work or I get a password not set bla.. bla bla... Why is this program so inconsistent.

Thanks
