I have this setup:
At work, running RealVNC server and UltraVNC Server, both have IP address shown in tooltip. (Version RC18). running in Windows 2000
At home, I am running UltraVNC viewer. I can connect with no problem. running in Windows XP Pro.
I was excpecting an icon in the viewer to allow file transfer. I made sure when I connected to enable file transfer in the properties. I actually tried running UltraVNC (unistalling RealVNC), but could never get a connection until I had both running.
Any help is appreciated.

OK, if I uninstall RealVNC, then making sure UltraVNC is running as a service, then checking out my display ports by going to gotomyvnc.com, I get the following:
Checking you out at IP address "xx.xx.xxx.xx"...
xx.xx.xxx.xx is not responding on Display 0.
xx.xx.xxx.xx is not responding on Display 1.
xx.xx.xxx.xx is not responding on Display 2.
if however, I then restart a RealVNC service and run the same check I get:
Checking you out at IP address "xx.xx.xxx.xx"...
xx.xx.xxx.xx is accepting connections on Display 0 (TCP port 5900).
xx.xx.xxx.xx is not responding on Display 1.
xx.xx.xxx.xx is not responding on Display 2.
So you see I cannot get a connection just running the UltraVNC. I even went as far as uninstalling both, doing a regedit and removing all references to either. Then I reinstalled UltraVNC and get the same problem. The tooltip at the tray where the icon shows up clearly has the right IP address shown, but I can not get a display to accept it. But run the RealVNC, and bingo, it works.
Anyone got any ideas?
