Port other than default for vncviewer

Post by hretif »

Hi,

SC is working perfectly and I enjoy using it.
Now I want to be able to give support to people being behind a Firewall which blocks all ports except 80 and 443.

Thus in helpdesk.txt, I have specified:
-plugin -connect 84.72.yy.xxx:443 -noregistry

I thought that I just need also to specify the same port for the viewer:
vncviewer -listen 443 -dsmplugin MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm

but I get an error message when I start it:
"Error creating listening daemon:
(Error binding daemon socket)
Perhaps another VNCViewer is already running?"

Does someone know why?

Thanks,
Hubert.

Redge, you are right! Skype was running. I have stopped it, and it works. It seems that many try to go through Firewalls like that...
