Single Click Mini Viewer

Post by mccannm »

The single click mini-server is fantastic for remote support.

It would be brilliant if there was something similar for a mini-viewer. That way if you wanted to do a demonstration of something on your own machine you could configure a small executable file on your web page that would automtacically call the UltraVNC server so that the client could see your desktop without having to get details about IP numbers etc or downloading the full version of VNC.

Definately. If i have a tech who is on the road and a client calls him for help, he could be able to browse to our site, and run a small viewer with a script that pops up and asks for an ID. This would then connect to our repeater which our client would be connecting to with SC. BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS! Any Ideas??????

I thought about using plain vncviewer.exe on my site, but you can't really run a script off a web page that runs command line parameters to execute a program off the web. Has anybody tried this????

any chance you could give a quick run-through of how this is hosted?
I'd like to test it on my site. Do the source files need to be on the web server for this to work or do I need to configure some things?

thanks

if you want to use your own repeater, you need to modify and add
CGI script to your web page

cgi script
http://sc.uvnc.com/javaviewer/vncviewer.txt

source javaviewer2
http://sc.uvnc.com/javaviewer/javaviewer2.zip

I can't help more, I have tried without success the public javaviewer
