When the viewer is in full-screen mode the taskbar disapears. That is fine, after all we are in full-screen mode. There are two scenarios where I do expect to see the taskbar again, though:
1) Press the "Windows key" should make the taskbar appear.
2) Switch from VNCViewer to another window (Alt-Tab) should also make the taskbar appear again. The reason for that is that now this other window has presedence over the VNCViewer and therefore the Taskbar should also have higher priority.
Is this behaviour be design? In my opinion navigation would be so MUCH easier if under the above scenarios I could get the taskbar back.
Thanks

This is a neat feature. Unfortunately, it does not what I want to do. While uvnc is in full-screen mode and I control the local keyboard I want to be able to switch (with Alt-Tab or Windows key) to another window. Unfortunately, all local windows are hidden behind the full-screen uvnc window.
For example I have two apps running. One is a dos window on my local machine. The other is uvnc connected to another computer. When I am in uvnc in full-mode I want to be able two switch to the dos window by pressing Alt-Tab. I can do this but the dos window stays hidden behind uvnc.
How can I achieve that short of having to "un-maximize" the uvnc window?

I would like that as well.... To me 'full-screen mode' should make the client machine completely 'invisible' (except, perhaps, for the drop down at the top)rmdiv wrote:This is a neat feature. Using the RealVNC client with the UltraVNC server seems to be the only way to achieve it. Hit F8 to bring up the menu.
So we have Scroll Lock for switching control between the server and client. This is GREAT!!
We also have Ctrl+F11 and Ctrl+Alt+F12 to change between windowed and full screen.
This is still not what I was looking for, though. Basically, with Scroll Lock on I can use Alt-Tab to switch between windows on the computer I am controling. I want to do the exact same thing on the computer where I run uvnc viewer. I know this works if I switch to windowed mode. In full screen mode the window I switch to stays hidden behind the uvnc viewer, though.
*******************
IN SHORT what I would like is that other windows can be on top of uvnc viewer even if the later is in full-screen mode. If such a window is on top of uvnc viewer then also the taskbar is shown is on top of it.
*******************
I have used other programs that behave exactly that way. In my opinion it is much more intuitive because even in full-screen mode I can switch to other windows but they are just not displayed (confusing).
Also, IMHO, this is much more efficient as I do not have to press Ctrl+F11 and Ctrl+Alt+F12 all the time before hitting Alt-Tab.
By the way, why not always using Ctrl+F11 to toggle or Ctrl+F11 for windowed and Ctrl+Shift+F11 for full-screen?
Anyways, other then that this is a great program.
