Can't connect viewer in SCIII environment

Post by mastermindpro »

With much trial and error, I was finally able to get an SC built to connect to a repeater running Distributer5 last night. The SC connects via port 443, and all SSL stuff is negotiated correctly. Upon running remote.exe, the SC gets itself into a "Waiting for connection" state.

That's when the trouble begins. I try to connect a vncviewer to the repeater in order to view the SC session, but no matter what I've tried, I have not been able to get it to connect. I've launched vncviewer_ssl from the command-line, I've used the regular Ultravnc viewer from the GUI...no luck. The closest I've gotten yields this error message on the viewer:

...and this in the log on the repeater:

ERROR: accept SSL unsuccessful

Obviously, this has something to do with the viewer not accepting the SSL certificate that the repeater uses, but how in the heck am I supposed to accept it???

Sorry for the double-post...the forum was unresponsive for several minutes so I didn't realize something had posted.

I'm missing the repeater setup, but from the message below it looks like there are additional steps required as well:

distributer5 is not stable as repeater 1.0.7 or repeater 1.2.1
so, viewer won't work after fews seconds or minute show the error you wrote.

known bug...
