Multiple monitors?

Post by kandieman101 »

I have a 6600GT vid card which has two DVI ports... and I am running 2 monitors. Connecting with remote assistance, I can see both displays.

But how can I view each display through Ultra VNC? Either as one super-long monitor or some how connect to each display separately?

Thanks.

try new UltraVNC tabbed_vncviewer_129.exe
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=392026

for switch between multi-monitor, press over icon screen at left of chat button
see VNC Viewer toolbar
http://doc.uvnc.com/install/usage.html

select Full Desktop | Toggle Server Desktops (multi-display

It seems I have to click it twice to switch windows, and it does successfully switch between monitor 1 and 2, but the "full desktop" doesn't allow me to actually see both "together" ... ???

Anyone else?

It seems when I first connect I see the first (left) screen, and click the "Select Full Desktop" button it does nothing... clicking it again brings me to the 2nd monitor... and once again brings me back to the first monitor.

What is the result of this first click? I would think it would allow me to see the full desktop.. both screens... but even if I scale or if I do normal screen, I only see the first screen...

Three Monitors

Post by frogstar.com »

I too have a problem with a three monitor setup. I can flip between #2 and #3, but can't get to the #1 screen. The one with the START BUTTON on it, making the VNC connection nearly useless to me.

I can't figure out the right keywords to find a solution as everyone is asking about MULPTPLE MONITORS but this is the only one that mentioned the problem with 3.

I have exactly the same problem, I can switch only between 2 of my 3 monitors. I used to use RealVNC before, but this is causing trouble with
Kaspersky, so I switched to UltraVNC, but now I can't access my full desktop anymore.
I would really appreciate having access to the full desktop, and the way RealVNC realises it, works well (one large desktop).

Although it is not a perfect solution (I have trouble with the
Area where Ultramon should be visible), it is a good workaround.
Thanks for the info!
