Working with SC behind router

Post by Bert B. »

Hello,

I created a SC awhile ago. Works like a charm. Few day's ago i bought me a router. I forwarded port 5500 to my ip (10.0.0.14). When i launch viewer in listing mode, i recieve nothing when CS is launched from my other LAN pc. There are 2 pc's connected to the router (wired network).

Am i doing something wrong here?

Thank's for you help in advance.

NAT inside your LAN as nothing effect,

maybe you trying to use public IP (public dynamicDNS service) inside your private network.
if that, you need to read your book of your nat router to fix that
some NAT router can do this feature and some not
as my knowledge, Netopia, ZyXEL can do this but, as well, is not complete list.
and for bypass internal firewall, you need to use SCIII instead of SCI or SCII
just replace your old winvnc inside your own custom.zip and recompile it

In my old custom.zip is no winvnc.exe file included. Could you please explain what i am supposed to do with this sciii file?

just put winvnc.exe inside your custom.zip and follow process again on website to create your new SingleClick
and use creator based on UltraVncSC based on REL1.00 (TEST)

Arch! Just can't get it to work. With viewer listening to port 5500 and dito ports are open to the viewers IP, the client side isn't able to connect and shut's itself down in about 5 seconds. I feel that my router is still blocking port 5500?

Any further sugestions?
Thanks redge for your help this far.

I have the latest firmware installed and still my 5500 port is closed/blocked. Can it be that my router is not working properly? I check my ports with "Angry IPscan" It says that no ports are open. I am totaly confused here.

Maybe i have to buy myself another router.
