I've checked the FAQ, and done a search ... nothing seemed to hit upon my issue, or similar questions raised by others remain unanswered.
I have, essentually, two issues: I am attempting to set up MSLogon with RC18. As long as the user is in the Administrator group, I can authenticate and log in. However, non-administrator users cannot.
Also, when putting a user in Group 3 (Read Only), since the user must be an Administrator (due to the above), the user has full access once authenticated ... meaning the mouse and interactions work (not Read Only).
What I want is to create a user with pretty much only the ability to be authenticated (no real rights on the local computer), and then once authenticated by MSLogon, to be forced into View Only mode.
The system is 2000 Pro SP4, and VNC is running as a service. What am I doing wrong?
TIA

MSLogon RC18
That appears to have sussed it! Thanks!
Follow up question, though. The user I have specified for Read Only access, while the user cannot move the mouse or interact with the desktop, he still appears to have the ability to initiate a File Transfer!
Is there any way to lock down that Group 3 user to where all they can do is watch?

disable file transfer
you would have to disable file transfer as there are no restrictions.
