loopback questions

Post by cucc »

I hope this is not been asked a hundred times already but I cannot find the answer to help me.

I have my office in one town and i can open any ports I want on my router that I would need to.

The clients I have are behind a firewall and nat that I do not have direct access to their computers. (internet is managed by another company).

I would like to have them connect into me and do a loopback so that I can view their computers. I can install server/viewer on each machine to view on my end. but I cannot get the loopback to work yet in my office. what do I need to run to make it happen???

both machines are windows 2000 with the latest ultr@vnc software.

Have you tried using the Repeater? Set a repeater up on a public IP, then have them reverse-connect to the repeater specifying an ID, then you connect to the repeater as well, with the same ID. That should bypass the firewalls.
