I have a few questions i was hoping the dev team OR anyone in the know can enlighten me about port usage for SC VNC...
1. Does anyone know why port 5500 is the default port to use to connect to SC?
2. Why not use port 80 - the same port that IE, FIREFOX, OPERA, and all internet browsers use to access the internet?
3. if only one application can use a port at a time, then how is it that IE, FIREFOX, OPERA, ETC. are able to use port 80 at the same time?
4. wouldn't it be better to make port 80 the default port for SC...that way, the tech wouldn't have to worry about the customer not being able to call out to the SC tech's "server?"
THANKS!
