Silent install of mirror driver?

Post by preacher65 »

Hi all. Apologies if this is already answered, but I've searched and come up blank.

Is it possible to do a silent install of the mirror driver? The "UltraVncDriverSetupSilent.exe" isn't completely silent and I can't see how to make it unattended, with no user interaction or pop-ups. It doesn't seem to be possible to use the saveinf command with it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

For the silent installation the driver package must be digitally signed by Microsoft. To make this possible the driver must pass the WHQL tests first. I'm not sure if UltraVNC's driver passed them but i know for sure that TightVNC's driver did. So it can be intalled in "unattended" mode. Hope that UltraVNC team will do the same one day

Yep, it can also with an unsigned driver.
Just let the installer overwrite the sign check :)
