How to use UltraVnc on port 80

Post by dnaton »

Hi,

I use since a few weeks a solution for Remote control : Skype+ 2 plugins : Festoon or WebDialogs Unyte. Theses plugins allow to see a remote desktop or a running application on a remote PC (Festoon and Unyte) and to control the remote PC (only Unyte).

The great advantage of this solution : it's run on almost all network configuration (while Skype and its plugins can use port 80 at the same time that other applications (browser web for example))

But this solution has inconvenients : it's slow and has too many bugs for the moment.

Can I make the same with UltraVnc ?
Sincerly,
Damien

You can choose the listening port to use VNC native protocol on 80.
If some firewall blocks non HTTP protocol then you should use the HTTP with Java Viewer.

With Skype, I can brows the Net, phone with Skype and remote control a PC. Is it possible with UltraVnc too ?
