Hi,
I want to access my work pc via a vpn connection from home. I have a static public I.P at work and I know how to configure port forwarding, my question is do I need a static I.P address at home or can I set the router to allow access from all wan users and just password protect access to the router..it's a netgear DG834.

Office connection
You only need to know the IP address of the VNC server you wish to connect to. Since you want to work off your office PC, you only need to know the static IP address your office connection.
BTW: You could set up a Dynamic DNS service for your "home" connection (ex: www.dyndns.org -- myhomepc.dyndns.org )
