I like to think I am IT savvy. I know how to get ports open on routers / the concept of ports and IP addresses, have set up DynDNS, etc... but is it me or is the page that explains repeaters a bit hard to follow? I have SC set up so on the client's PC, they run it, it finds my IP through DynDNS then connects through my NAT router that has port 5500? forward to 192.168.1.103 - the machine that has the listener....
I was trying to find a work around where I might be somewhere else and need to help a client. I wanted a way to get SC to prompt for port and IP... I got that idea... but someone else suggested repeater. Not sure how that works. Can you dummy it down?
