Windows XP Firewall

Post by UABDR84 »

Have been using VNC for years and it is very useful, but since Windows XP especially SP-2 we have been encountering problems. The issue is not widespread thus makes difficult to troubleshoot, but from time to time after having cleared UltraVNC through the firewall the settings will either disappear or else we will lose the ability to connect. Have to go and clear it again through the firewall sometimes it is already there and have to just restart the system. Any ideas on a fix.

Usually by creating a firewall "exception" for both winvnc.exe and vncviewer.exe, I usually solve this perminately.
