Maximum window size too small with scrollbars

Post by uryan »

I regularly use a 1280x800 widescreen notebook to connect to a machine set at 1200x912. The ideal for me in this situation would be to view at 100%, full width with a vertical scrollbar. Unfortunately, when the vertical scrollbar is showing, the maximum width of the window does not increase to accommodate the width of the scrollbar, hence the window cannot fit the width of the screen and so horizontal scrolling is needed. This has the dual disadvantage of slightly reducing the height shown, and needing scrolling to reach the extremeties of the width.

This should be changed so that when the vertical scrollbar is showing, the maximum width of the window is increased by the width of the scrollbar, and when the horizontal scrollbar is showing, the maximum height increases by the height of the scrollbar - like it does for the toolbar

I have almost the same problem

Post by Timmer »

I have the same problem, but tilted 90 degrees. I regularly view a 1680x1050 laptop on my 1600x1200 desktop, and uVNC prevents me from taking advantage of the 1200 pixel height of my display, and partly obscures the viewed system's Start bar with an (uneccessary) horizontal scrollbar.

Thanks in advance,

TValley
