In general, SC works without problems. However, on some machines on a network behind a Cisco router/firewall the SC program immediately displays the error message: "Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed.". On clicking OK, the program temrinates. I'm not sure if it's some or all machines. I think that there has been another error message some time ago, but have no details.
Recompiling the program makes no difference: it works in most locations, but not there.
This happens under Windows XP and Windows 2003 (haven't tried other versions).
Can anybody cast any light on this?

ReadProcessMemory error
pol098,
Maybe do to being a complex firewall. Maybe the deep packet inspection has something to do it. I also wanted to bump this up to see if anyone else has any ideas..

How privileged is your account (i.e. to which groups does it belong)?

I haven't looked at this for a while, but it's still a problem.pol098 wrote:on some machines on a network behind a Cisco router/firewall the SC program immediately displays the error message: "Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed.".
Interesting point. I'll have to look into this.Bevtech wrote:Maybe do to being a complex firewall. Maybe the deep packet inspection has something to do it. Idea I also wanted to bump this up to see if anyone else has any ideas..
Amongst other logins, it doesn't work as Administrator.Oliver (aka Assarbad) wrote:How privileged is your account (i.e. to which groups does it belong)?
As fas as I remember, with any computer on the network, from single non-HT workstation to multi-processor server.redge wrote:[Does it] happen on computer with 2x CPU or/and HyperThreading ?
