File Transfer problems after OS upgrade

Post by czechmate »

My employer has been upgrading their workstations to Windows 2000 from '98 and whenever one is completed I can no longer transfer files from my home machine (Windows XP) to the network drives, only to the "C" drive of the machine I'm viewing. Whenever I am in file transfer and choose a network drive from the list (they all show up) I get the message ">ERROR: Media is not present in the remote drive"
If I transfer my files to the "C" drive of a remote computer I can then use Explorer on the remote machine to move them to the proper network drives. Any ideas on why the change between '98 and 2000 will be appreciated as, unfortunatly, I am the most computer savy person around here.
