Hi.
I have the VNC server setup in my office in a workgroup. I want to connect from my home from my computer which is within a different workgroup.
How does the VNC Viewer get to the VNC Server?
Is there some way to concatenate the IP address of the VNC server to the main IP address of the office?
Can someone please tell me how to do this?

add Dynamic DNS service client on your computer hosting vnc server
there many free open source dynamic dns updater

Say I am sitting at home on my computer which is within a LAN and I need to access my office computer which is also in a LAN. How do I set that up? and where in UltraVNC do I enter the IP addresses?

but if you can't control and don't have rights to the office router,

Dynamic IP addresses works too!
To find the current Public IP address, visit http://www.WhatIsMyIP.com, then plug that IP address.
Second option, if you have a website hosted by a third party is to add an A Record at your provider's location, for example:
Your domain name is http://www.microsoft.com. By adding an 'A Record' you can get http://support.microsft.com pointing to your private IP on your local machine.
Since dynamic IP's change frequently, before attempting a connection, you must update your 'A Record' with the current IP address... it works like a charm!
