Fast Switching Users Enabled Doesnt Work...
Fast Switching Users Enabled Doesnt Work...
Ok here is my problem i have 2-3 accounts on my remote office pc and have enabled fast user switching so as the other person can switch to other account without shutting the running programming. well all of u know what fast switching between users is . Well VNC doesnt support that and i was wondering does This ULTRA VNC supports That if not then would it be possible for next release of the same that works with FSU if not then what is the major difference in VNC and ULTRA VNC i use VNC right now and have diabled fast switching so please help me out here is it possible that ULTRA enables that???
well the newest version is 1.0.1. I would try running it as a service but fast user switching is a big pain.. I discourage my clients to even use it..

you can use Fast User Switch with UltraVNC server
you can't use winvnc as service system
you need only use winvnc as user application
winvnc -multi
=
winvnc 5900 (for 1st Fast User Switch aka John)
winvnc +1 = 5901 (for 2nd session Fast User Switch aka Suzy)
winvnc +1 = 5902 (for 3rd session Fast User Switch aka Paul)
remember,
you can't control locked user screen if their password !
for access Ctrl+Alt+Delete, you need to go to taskbar, right click and select Task Manager

UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 (built 20110518)
OS Win: xp home + vista business + 7 home
only experienced user, not developer

this is the same fix that realvnc has provided.redge wrote:you can use Fast User Switch with UltraVNC server

If I disable the service then I can't see the Startup-Screen of WinXP where I select the username, right? So I've to autologin a user?
I don't want to try it myself, because if something goes wrong and I've no access to VNC anymore than I can't use my PC anymore. Because I've no monitor anymore and I'm using my iMac with VNC as a PC-Monitor
