sc in very slow over internet connection

I've installed sc and it very slow when i use it over internet. In LAN it just the best.
What should i do?
Any suggestion, advice?

1. what the speed of your Internet connection betwen you and partner ?
mean upstream bandwith from the vnc server to you ?
2. hextile encoder is good only over LAN or 2 MBit/s WAN Internet (need 1MBit/s data bandwith for hextile encoder)
3. you can select lower level of colors for improve speed.

Speed it up - use 8bit mode
When you launch the listener, use the "-8bit" command line option--
vncviewer.exe -8bit -listen 5500 . . . .

Can you please be more specific. the server itself in listen mode, there is no additional config on it.

I was able to connect but then connections hangs and dead.
My I ask what Operating System is running on the SC. ( server) pc's?? I have had really good luck with SC but only in Broadband environments. DSL , Cable etc.
Keep in mind that eventhough you are in broadband doesnt mean the remote is. I havent had very much luck with modem access (56k) internet (SC) servers. They just hang..

Well that is interesting. Xp SP2. no firewall the only thing left maybe the connection between the viewer and the server. Is it stable??
