Hello Everyone,
I have a query, and it appears it has not been addressed. Is there a means that I can execute the SC package on a client’s computer and have it automatically connect to either the Internet Support option of the Internet Support with Encryption Option?
Many of you use this program for your clients because of firewall problems and security issues. I use it for exactly the same reason. This is wonderful, but it requires the client to be sitting in front of their system while I work just in case I need to restart the system.
I have read in the forums that there is a way to automatically connect to a listening viewer with a batch file and an installed version of UltraVNC Server. I would prefer not to use this option if possible, as it would require a VNC server to be installed on all my client’s computers. I would prefer to avoid this.
The ideal scenario is a method of executing the SC package at start-up and it automatically connecting rather then prompting the user. Is there a command line function I can use to make this happened? Is there a line of code that can be written into a SC file that will have it automatically connect to my viewer with encryption? Any thoughts on this and directions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
TOG
P.S. Before someone says it, I am aware that you can not use Ctrl-Alt-Del in this program. Good thing as far as I am concerned. In most cases, I would just set the autologin function in windows to get around this. Thank you for your help.

Auto-connect for SC
the native SC can do this but volontary removed feature for security.
but if you read vnc-related products, I think you can find a good solution.

Autoconnect with SC
I use an auto connect SC by creating a helpdesk file with only one HOST entry, followed by a [DIRECT] group. There is no entry under the group DIRECT.
There can only be one HOST entry for this to work. After compiling the executable, drag it to the startup group in Windows. It will launch and connect automatically.
If the user is required to logon, you can also set some registry values to autologon the user after a reboot.

Re: Autoconnect with SC
I like this idea -- quite simple... although when the user has to login upon reboot looks to be a bit of a problem. I'm not familiar with what registry changes could be implemented to accomplish this. Anyone know how to make this work (i.e., remote VNC-SC restarting/reconnecting upon a system reboot, esp. when the user's system requires a user login).rickgum wrote:I use an auto connect SC by creating a helpdesk file with only one HOST entry, followed by a [DIRECT] group.
