Can you test this in a local area network??? There has been some talk on the forum with some of the D-link routers having issues on with VNC maybe you are having that problem??

well you have to have two pcs in the same network and on the same subnet.

Bascially you load the stand alone viewer on both pcs. Then try SC on one pc then the other..:D

An example:
two pcs on the same router

Hi try changing the protocol to TCP only and do a local test from here

[topic=4535][/topic]

Also check if you dont have a diff WAN IP if on dynamic

http://www.checkip.org

check if the ports not block or cannot see the vncviewer here

http://www.canyouseeme.org

Lastly check all firewalls router and windows

Cheers

well i set up router as supposed to be but canyouseeme.org
Error: I could not see your service on 68.158.123.145 on port (5500)
Reason: Connection timed out
how do i find out "IP address of the computer on your local network" because when i type ipconfig in command prompt it gives me the adress of the router

Here try this online test, The support.exe tells you what to put in the the client exe. Basicly made this one for LAN.

Hope it helps. Use at own risk.
