It could be great to be able to include tunneling ... for example...
Zebedee... to create a tunnel to the server, encrypted and authenticated tunnel prior to connection and connect througth the tunnel.

tunneling prior to connect in SC
How about a VPN tunnel for security..There is an SSL viewer and repeater in beta now that uses a SSL tunnel this may work for you in the near future..
