Administrative Lockout

Post by Matt S »

It would be very useful for an admin (especially a remote admin) to be able to password protect access to the server options.

Unfortunately, removing the VNC server tray icon alone is not secure enough to protect the system form all users. Also, it is useful to see if indeed remote connections are established.

For example, presently, a user is able to inadvertantly or deliberatly change the access password on another user's server disabling access for legitimate remote users or enabling access to an intruder.[/b]

I agree. That would be a really nice option. At least there should be an admin password protection of the server options except maybe the 'Query on incoming connection' option that should have a user password, so the admin can't access the computer without a user authorization.
