TeamViewer - Based on UVNC with NAt-2-Nat THAT WORKS

Post by jpmorgan »

Has any one looked at : www.teamviewer.com
product.

Its based on Ultra VNC and LOOKS LIKE it has the nat-2-nat
feature caleld 'DynGate" that REALLY works..

I have installed it and it works, from my work network, behind a 'heavy'
firewall, to my home network, thru Earthlink and a Linksys wrt54g
router.

I tried Ultra Vnc with 'their' nat-2-nat programs and could never get it to work.

I wonder if Tean Viewer was done by some of the same folks working
on the Nat-2-Nat here.

i don't really think that such program uses nat2nat, in fact on its website it talks about maximum traffic. i think that instead it just forwards the traffic through an internet server. it's not nat2nat that works, it's just a vnc tunnel connection that works.
