Strange Behaviour with Terminal server

Post by PatrickF »

We have an engineer who is testing SC from his office in South Africa.
Our office is in the UK, repsonse time is around 400ms between sites.

He logs into our MS Terminal Server, runs the VNC veiwer in listen mode, and then instructs a client to run the SC client.

When the connection occurs, it takes a VERY long time to refresh the screen. So much as to be unusable.

However, if he connects normally (ie uses viewer to make a outbound connection to the waiting VNC server) to the same client, there is no such delay - it performs as expected.

If I perform the same tests in London, with the same terminal server on our LAN, this also performs as expected.

Any ideas?

I'd also specify the connection format and encoding. Very low if possible as your connection does not appear to be very good. If set on auto it takes forever for UVNC to determine that the connection is not good enough for any setting before it tries another lower one, from what I've seen at least.
