RC18-Major Problems-Please Help

Post by asturtz »

Hi,
I am having major issues with setting up a connection using RC18. For our testing purposes, I have one machine which I am running the server and the repeater on. On the second machine I am running the Viewer in listen mode. When I start the repeater all it does is continually scroll...

"UltraVnc> Waiting for connection ...
UltraVnc> accept() failed, errno=10022"

When I try to connect to the repeater with the Server, I type the Repeater IP address in the host text box and a random ID in the apporpriate box. And I get an error box saying Unable to connect to listening viewer"

If I try to connect to the Repeater through the Viewer in listen mode I get the error box with the common "Invalid Protocol" error message, even though I have the DSM check box checked and I am positive the keys are the same on both machines.

I had this setup working with RC16 but now I just can't get it with this new version. Am I missing something? If I remember correctly weren't there parameters that the Repeater needed to setup a connection? I can't seem to find where I can enter what machines can connect to the repeater. Please help.

Thanks,
Andrew

2 errors of your situation:

1. viewer can't listen with repeater in the middle
2. your repeater need an update to most recent repeater 1.04 until today

sc 1.0.0 --> repeater 1.04
viewer --> repeater 1.0.4
