Re: Really need help withfastpush
In order to use FastPush you have to be able to authenticate via SMB, either with NetBIOS or MS-DS. Error 53 means basically that you aren't connected via SMB.swift wrote:I am very new to this fastpush thingy, really need to to it to work.

Can you "map a drive" to the remote computer with an account that is an administrator on that machine?
I just reread your message, but I'll leave my original quote below.swift wrote:should not be a problem, but how do i do tt and what status must comp be in ?
To map a drive, go into Explorer, then click Tools and Map Network Drive. The rest should be self explanatory.
What is "tt"?
You need to be able to map a drive as a local admin, so all that that entails. i.e., File and Printer sharing, disable/modify software firewalls, etc.

The final choice will be ultra.

OK. What share are you mapping to? Have you tried C$?
By default, if I understand correctly, Windows 2003 shares are Read-only when created.
I believe that FastPush looks for "c:\program files", but it has been updated to look for certain localized directory names.
Hey, if this doesn't work, then I'd like for you to try another script I have for pushing VNC. It isn't 1/10th of FastPush, but at least I understand everything that is going on inside of it.

SystemTools Remote Control Manager (STRCM)
Hey if you need to push VNC quick.....
The SystemTools Remote Control Manager (STRCM) provides a mechanism for installation, configuration, access, and uninstallation of VNC. Full source code is also provided, under GNU licensing.
Configuration of the STRCM options is made through a standard .INI file. The STRCM uses this configuration information to determine remote control viewing, installation, and other options. Although the STRCM was primarily designed for automatic installation and management of VNC-based remote control products, its flexible design allows the use of many other remote control products.

Re: SystemTools Remote Control Manager (STRCM)
It doesn't support many of the UltraVNC features such as DSM encryption and MS-Auth. It is really no better than the fastpush script.sandgrub wrote:Hey if you need to push VNC quick.....
