using SC behind Firewall - Do I have to use repeater ?

Hi ALL !

I love SC, works great !

But:
I am trying to set it up for 5 techs, behind a firewall ...
-All tech PC's have static IP
-All ports have been forwarded on router [cisco] to appropriate LOCAL IP's i.e. 5500, 5501, 5502, 5503 ...etc.
-I have changed the LISTENER to listen to the appropriate Port on each Techs PC

However, the connection that works is the one going to 5500 ??

My helpdesk file is below .... what am I doing wrong ? or do I have to use the repeater to acheive this funtionality ?

Or should I use Port Mapping ? i.e. localIP:5501, localIP:5502....etc. ?

My goal is to have it work without repeater, but if I have to use it I will ...

Your thoughts ?

settings Looks OK.

I think you need to configure your router

You need to tell the router to forward the port .

IOW - When a connection comes in on Outside-ip:5502 the port must forward to Inside-ip:5500

This way any connection to a specific port will be forwarded to the static-ip computer running vncviewer - listen.

WANIP:PORT -> ROUTER -> LANIP:PORT

all local IP's to port 5500 ? This way, I can just install UVNC in listen mode, without changing it to listen on a different port ??

no, viewer not listen
repeater listen viewer and one port external 5900 redirect internal port 5901
yes, only one port 5500 opened for SC or winvnc as reverse connection.

with repeater,
server connect to repeater and viewer connect to repeater
viewer not listen ! only repeater listen and waiting viewer and server

So the plus of using the repeater is that you only have to open one [WAN] outside port, correct ? And the Repeater performs the forwarding to the correct PC by using a naming scheme, that is assinged in the SC.exe ?

And all techs UVNC viewers connect to the Repeater ... waiting for a connection ...

Am I thinking correctly ?

vnviewer listening only exclusive port 5500
vncviewer -listen 5500
or
vncviewer -listen

side of technician office of NAT/router need to translate

client WAN == --> LAN == computer techncian (inside)

82.69.12.13 == 5502 --> 5500 == 192.168.11
82.69.12.13 == 5503 --> 5500 == 192.168.12
