Hello,
I am using SC to connect with my friend in India , When he double click on heldesk.exe file & click on my name , I get a message that " computer name with so and so IP wants to connect to you , when i click yes nothing appears on my screen , i mean i am not able to see his desktop. The IP i was getting is his private IP 172.16.1.5 , He is accessing internet using cable Modem. I was curious how that happend , so i asked him to open www.whatismyip.com web site to find out what is his public IP , It was X.X.X.X . SO i tried to connect the other way , I send him vncviewer.exe file & i used heldesk.exe , he is able to access my desktop.
whats wrong ,why am i not able to see his , he is using win98 & he is not using any firewall. I have SBC DSL & i am using Linksys cable dsl router.

Cant view
Try using it with someone else that is with w2k, XP or a different operating system just to see if you can or can not see someone elses system. If you cant then there could be a potential problem on your side. If you can then maybe there is some issue with win 98?
I would also try it internal to your LAN if it works then it works, but if it doesnt then there could be an issue with your UVNC install. Try reinstalling.
