SC Directory Transfers

Post by Ares »

Hey guys, I was just wondering if SC would be able to zip directories and send them sometime soon. I really miss that feature. And I keep forgetting I can't, and quite often the viewer will crash when I try. No rush, I know the devs are very busy. Just wondering if it was planned anytime soon. =)

It works, but you need to manual add the zip unzip dll's to the SC archieve
exe.
180k---->400k

The only thing missing are the dll's in the sc.exe archieve

Strange, I tried that and it didn't work... I'll try again later and post my results.

When I include the DLL's with my SC package (and the Viewer), it will indeed zip the files, and I will even see the temporary !UVNC*.zip file at the destination - however once it is finished transferring, it doesn't unzip it and just deletes the .zip file.

Yep, exactly what happens to me. Thanks redge for double-checking.

I thought this was by design, because I asked about SC and FT once before and I was told "not yet". So I thought the devs hadn't gotten around to it yet, so I never reported this as a bug lol.

Without the zip dll's, the Viewer would often crash on me if I accidentally forgot and tried to transfer a directory (using SC 1.0 and Viewer 1.0.1).

I can't get either way to work.

When I do local to remote, it creates the temporary zip file but then never extracts it - it just deletes it.

Bump. This really is hurting SC. I really need this feature. I've seen no motion on either the UVNC site or the SC site for months. If you're all off skiing I'm jealous, if not, can we get this added as an option to the creator and get folder transfers working? Thanks...

+Startup is planned for january
+A few more developper will join
The project (vnc+sc+connection methods) can not proper be maintained
by Me and Sam, some extra skilled people where needed.

I had some other "commercial" obligations.... no skiing

The FT (dir) should just require the zip/unzip dll.

Can you try the second creator (online).... i replaced the vnchook.dll by *.dll
If you add the zip and unzip dll in the "custom.zip" they also should
be auto added to the sc.exe

Still can't get FT from remote to local with SC

Post by benze »

Hi,

I tried adding unzip32.dll and zip32.dll to my "custom.zip" file, but I still can seem to transfer directories from the remote site to my local machine. I can transfer dirs from local->remote but not the other way around. Whenever I try to transfer remote directories to my local machine the viewer and the SC die.

I am using the second creator (online) Rel1.0 to create the exe. It is a 264Kb file.

If I look in the temp directory where SC gets uncompressed, I can see the Zip32 and UnZip32 dlls there, which means that the SC gets created with them, but for some reason, the system still crashes when I transfer from remote to local.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Eric
