Hi. Does anybody know if it's possible to use the MCSR4 plugin under linux using wine? The viewer works without problem but using the plugin always says that it cannot find the key. Even if it is in the directory and the registry entry for the path is there.

Interesting. I never even tried UltraVNC under wine. Never even thought about it really...

Which plugin/version were you using?

Turn on logging (see the msrc4plugin website for details) and send me the plugin logs. I have Linux and wine installed. Maybe we can figure out why it doesn't work.

I have tested UltraVNC and the plugins under wine. The latest (as of this moment, unreleased) release candidate with the "Enhanced" key finding code is able to find the key file under wine and works great!

Previous versions of the plugins (before the "Enhanced" find) did not appear to be able to find they key file and would not work. Expect a new release candidate this week with the "Enhanced" find.

MSRC4 Plugin Debug Log - For UltraVNC under Wine

Hi! I've tried to use UltraVNC Viewer 1.0.1 and created the necessary registry entry, but the viewer gives me an errore when using the dsm plugin:

DSMPlugin cannot be configured

I've got a suggestion! I suggest that version 1.1.5 is ANCIENT. ;-)

There was a problem with 1.1.5 on 95/98/ME/NT that was fixed in 1.1.6. I recommend you get a copy of 1.1.8.

Um, are you trying this under wine? If so, you need the 1.1.9 RC8 to get it to work. Before RC8 the plugin couldn't find the key under wine. See the Beta page for that version.
