In this 1.1 release, we've improved the customization screen, so support-providers
can customize the startup screen with their own GIF or JPG. To access the customization
screen, simply hold down the SHIFT key while you start echoWinVNC.exe. Then you can
edit and save the default settings.
In this 1.1 release, we've also incorporated the 1.60 release of echoWare, which has
support for most HTTP and SOCKS proxies (via the CONNECT method).
EchoWinVNC is based on UVNC-SC, but is slightly different. First, once echoWinVNC
is running, connections are "Viewer-side initiated", rather than "Server-side initiated".
Second, it can be easily customized after download: just hold down the SHIFT key to
access the configuration screen.
EchoWinVNC is optimized for remote-support providers who run an echoServer to
simplify the remote-access of their support client's PCs. The .exe requires no installation,
is small enough to be emailed, and can be freely posted on your support website for easy
download.
Similar to EchoVNC, echoWinVNC is built upon the open-source echoWare SDK. For more
