Hi, just a simple one really. How do I connect to a client with a dynamic IP address as this is currently a problem. Their system is Win XP Pro and full VNC installed. ta :-)

we use the dynamic no-ip for this. install a little progam, define a webaddress and of you go

o yeah, it is a free service from no-ip (tx guys from no-ip)

your winvnc is between your computer and an NAT/router, prefer to use the dynamicDNS supported on your NAT router, see manual from your NAT/router and 1 client DynamicDNS software less on your computer.

If your IP stays static - you set up SC to connect to your IP. Or you set up Dynamic DNS IP.

Then they connect to you. Worth a look into.


UVNC - easiest way is to just have them go to - whatismyip.com and you put that in if you like UVNC better.
